How pubs are using streaming technology to cut subscription costs

Hospitality venues, such as pubs, that rely on showing live sports to draw in the crowds now have access to a new streaming service which could help them cut subscription costs and reduce long contract commitments.

Screach has launched the first streaming service targetted specifically at these venues, and launches with partner Premier Sports, meaning they can access the rights to more than 1500 live events including top-flight football from around the world.

Previously pubs would have been facing an average bill of £20,000 and a 12-month tie in, with subscriptions rising around 17% in the last three years.

Screach brings this subscription time down to a 90-day minimum, and could help bring new pubs into the market. Combined with a digital marketing functionality that uses existing TVs and social channels to boost footfall and sales.
